ORLANDO -- A 20-year-old woman said her life will never be the same.
She's now suing the bail bondsman she said raped her.
"He can’t take back what he did to me. Nobody can. Nothing can. He violated my privacy. He hurt me," she said.
The woman said Allen Burns, 36, called her to Mike Snapp Bail Bonds on South John Young Parkway last month to fill out paperwork and collect more money.
She said when she couldn't pay, he told her it was sex or back to jail. She had sex with him and then went to police.
She bonded out with the agency on a theft charge. That charge has now been dropped.
Orange County Sheriff’s Department officials said Burns has been accused of similar crimes, some of which are still under investigation.
That’s something Richard Schwamm, the alleged victim’s lawyer, said Burns’ employer should have known. That’s why the woman is also suing Mike Snapp Bail Bonds.
"This bonding agency should not have permitted him to gain the trust of those who came to him and put himself in a position of authority to do such harm," Schwamm said.
"If it wasn't his way, it was no way. He was very demanding," the woman said. "I got scared, nervous.”
Sheriff’s officials believe there are other victims out there, but so far no one else has come forward. The woman said she's in constant fear of her life and is also looking for help.
"Please come forward so something can be done with him, so he doesn't hurt anybody else,” she said. “[And] put them through what he has put me through and my family."
Burns bonded out of jail the day after he was arrested and charged with sexual battery.
Legally, once a bond agent is arrested, their license is invalid.
Our calls to Burns' attorney and Mike Snapp Bail Bonds were not returned.
