Iran warns of White House psycho war

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast has refuted US allegations against Iran on Syria, saying such claims are in line with Washington's psychological and media warfare against Tehran.
He rejected “unfounded and baseless” remarks by US President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Iran's interference in Syria's internal affairs and called on officials of the White House to “think about their words,” IRNA reported Tuesday.
Mehmanparast added that the US levels such accusations to pin the blame on others and divert world public opinion from its support for puppet regimes in the region.
“Regional nations will never forget the White House's unilateral support for the illegitimate Zionist regime (Israel) and its occupation and crimes against the oppressed people of Palestine and Lebanon over the past six decades,” he noted.
“They will neither overlook US support for the Egyptian and Tunisian dictatorships and its silence on the massacre of the defenseless Bahraini people, which are clear examples of double standard policies of Washington,” he pointed out.
The Iranian spokesman reiterated that regional nations will not be deceived by the White House's media tricks.
On Friday, the US president claimed that the Syrian government is seeking Iran's aid in dealing with the Syrian protests, saying, "Instead of listening to their own people, (Syrian) President Bashar Assad is blaming outsiders while seeking Iranian assistance in repressing Syria's citizens through the same brutal tactics that have been used by his Iranian allies."
